To herald the Spring Bank Holiday, we’ve put together a bloomin’ marvellous weekend of pure springtime debauchery. So join us as Albert goes into bloom.

First things first, our new drinks menu will come into fruition on Thursday 25th May. Inspired by the original Bavarian Bier Gartens and the lavish royal garden parties of yore .
May we invite you to indulge on the fruits of our seasonal labour with refreshing concoctions coupled with stunning floral installations, botanicals and all the usual nature stuff to bring in the new season.
So Schloss will be bloomin’ – but we’re not just gonna sit on hay bails and get drunk though are we? Lord no… We’ve arranged for some lovely people to serenade you throughout the course of these mystical festivities.

Thursday 25th May //

Gypsies of Bohemia (live)

Every Thursday we like to start the weekend early and at the same time showcase some of our favourite talent.

Manchester’s first jazz manouche non-purists, Gypsies of Bohemia (pictured above) are an acoustic group who perform modern pop favourites like you’ve never heard them before.

Drawing inspiration from the legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, the band capture all the Parisienne charm and sophistication of the Hot Club de France whilst putting their own unique spin on hits by everyone from Britney to Bruce to Blondie, and maybe even some Iron Maiden. You can listen to them here

Super swell DJ renditions from Hattie Pearson (XFM) & Jonjo (Bad Fun)

Our resident DJs love your ears. And you should love theirs too. Our crack squad of music dream weavers are tried, tested AND true.

Thy metaphorical rug will be cut and there shall be music-based revelry that will shock, amuse and astound.

Friday 26th May // Wish You Were Here

Riot Jazz (live)

The 9-barrelled Balkan-to-Brooklyn brass-boosted bounce that straddles genres and defies convention! They play the world regularly and there’s a damn good reason. The most fun you can have with horns. Prepare to sweat.

Tom Seals Duo (live)

A fat dollop of boogie-woogie blues with wild keys and sing along vocals. Tom Seal and his crew have been heaped in praise by such luminaries as Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Anderson and Jamie ‘Jazz pants’ Cullum.

DJ Rich Reason

Leader of the huge, infamous Levelz outfit from Mancunia. Nothing much needs to be said but here goes anyway…

Rich Reason continues to be one of the most booked DJs in the North West, as well as busy promoting his HIT & RUN night in Manchester, York and Preston and working on beats in his spare moments. Never content with spinning just the one genre he weaves together everything from jazz to jungle, from dub to dancehall to dubstep – always with one foot firmly on the dancefloor.

His skills have led him to play everywhere from LA to Sao Paolo, and from Paris to Budapest, as well as sets on BBC 1Xtra and at nearly all of the major UK Festivals.

He has been resident at the world-famous Warehouse Project since it opened in 2006, playing the very 1st set on the opening night before Public Enemy, as well as APE which continues to set the standard for large scale raves in the UK.

Not content with promoting said session, he also lays claim to a hugely respected career as touring DJ, and still finds time for LEVELZ, the celebrated 14-strong collective of MCs, record players, and beat purveyors who represent the cutting edge of a local scene that has rarely seen healthier days.

The Schloss Haus Band will be bringing the roof down throughout the night as they do every single weekend. bank holiday weekend we’re celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the one and only Cannes Film Festival. (AKA, Basically the swankiest movie-do around). Time to get well la-de-dah

It shall be a cocktail-fuelled comedy cavalcade of Silver Screen glamour. We’re going big baby, garden disco big.

 with special guests The Rush

Rounding off the weekend is something we call Sunday Service. We serve the best brunch you’ve ever had until 2pm. Then we serve the best roast you’ve ever had until 10pm. That’s not all though. We have yet another fully packed day of stuff to make you happy. Oh yeah and don’t forget it’s a bank holiday so work can absolutely do one tomorrow.

The AMC Gospel Choir (Live at 1pm, 3pm, 4pm)

Yep you read that right. We get an actual real Gospel choir to play and they raise the god damn (whoops) roof every single time.

Repent your sins and indulge yourself in seventh day heaven (An intermediate clapping skill is beneficial)

DJ Paulette 12-5.30pm

To redeem your potentially fragile and hungover soul we call on the amazingly talented and all round good egg DJ Paulette to soundtrack your Sunday. She is Manchester DJ royalty. We love her, You will love her (No refunds for unreciprocated love.)

The Sunday Best Jazz Quartet (Live) 5.30pm & 6.30pm

Our resident Jazz cats fronted by the angelic voiced Lucie Rice will be on hand to bring the swing while you wrestle with hair of the dog.

Our resident Disc Jockey Will Tramp shall be in charge of the Schloss turntables and that means you’re in safe hands. We entrust him to weave dreams at the loom of your musical mind. Expect everything from Disco, Hip Hop, House, 80s Soul Jams, Dad rock to Old school Garage. He knows how to bring the party and bring the party he shall.

Listen to his mixes here

The Rush (Live)

The Rush are our special live guests this evening and they don’t half smash out a decent cover. Singing along while stood on a table is potentially mandatory.

Have a butchers here.

And relax.
