We aren’t really one for rules, but here are some things we should probably tell you…

Booking Policies

Table Policy

All food bookings for up to four guests have a two-hour table time, food bookings for 5-8 have a two and a half hour table time tables of 9+ have a 3 hour booking time, all drinks bookings have a two hour table time.

Card details are required for every booking, in the event of a complete no show of your party/last minute cancellation you may be charged £10pp. You can amend your booking via your confirmation email.  If you are running late, please let us know on 0161 833 4040 (Mcr),  0121 314 8858 (Bham) or  0151 312 8998 (Lpl).

We kindly ask for six hours-notice if you would like to cancel your table, failure to provide this notice will incur a £10pp fee. The only way to cancel your booking is either via your confirmation email or by calling the team.

If you book a table to dine with us in the Cook Haus you are agreeing that all members of the party will be dining; if you decide not to dine on the day you will be charged £10pp to the card provided at the time of booking.

Showtime Visibility | Please note that the majority of our Cook Haus tables do not have a view of the stage, the best visibilty is directly facing in our bar area. We do not take drinks reservations for parties of 1-4 guests.

Dogs

Small dogs are welcome until 7pm daily. Please let us know in advance if you are bringing a dog along  so we can seat you in a dog friendly area.

Age Policy

Under 18s are welcome to dine with us but must vacate the venue by 8pm Monday – Thursday and by 6pm on Friday – Sunday.

Dress Code

Albert requests that guests dress appropriately for our regal namesake; no gym wear, or overly casual attire.
If it’s on Geordie Shore, it’s not getting through the door.

Please note that we do not accept balloons, sashes/veils, fancy dress, table decorations etc.

21 Weekend / Challenge 25

Friday – Sunday after 6pm we operate an over 21-year-old policy.

Therefore, if you are fortunate enough to look 25 or under, proof of age may be requested.

Our approved forms of ID are valid Driving Licence, valid Passport, Military ID, any other form of ID with the PASS hologram on it.

Last Entry

Manchester / Birmingham

Our doors close at 2am, last entry for guests is 1am.

Liverpool 

Monday – Wednesday our doors close at 1am, last entry for guests is midnight.

Thursday – Sunday our doors close at 2am, last entry for guests is 1am.

Groups

Albert wants everyone to enjoy his Palace, but unfortunately doesn’t allow fancy dress, large sporting groups, or large single sex parties. We encourage all large groups to get in touch and book in advance. Please note, decisions regarding entry are made at the door at the time of arrival, and are at discretion of the venue team.

If a member of you party appears to be intoxicated we reserve the right to refuse entry to the group.

FAQs

I am trying to book online, but the system isn’t showing the time I’d like to book for:

All available time slots will show on the booking widget, if your desired time slot is not available this is because we are fully booked.

How long do I get on my table?

We allocate your table for specific times according to your table size, please refer to your email confirmation for the return time of your table.

Why do I need to provide my card details to make a reservation?

Your card details simply secure your reservation, there is no charge at the time of booking and we cannot access your card details. We will only charge your card in case of a complete no show on the day, last minute cancellation or if you book a table in the Cook Haus and choose not to dine with us on the day. We require at least 6 hours notice for cancellations; anything less than this will incur a £10pp charge. If you have booked a drinks table/paid a deposit for your booking, please refer to your terms and conditions sent at the time of booking.

Do you have an allergen guide?

An allergen guide can be provided upon request. Please contact the team on eventsmanchester@albertsschloss.co.uk, eventsbirmingham@albertsschloss.co.uk or eventsliverpool@albertsschloss.co.uk and we can get this sent over to you. We do request if you or a member of your party has any special dietary requirements/allergies we are informed at the time of booking and also upon arrival at the venue.

Do you have step-free access?

Yes, all of our venues have step-free access and accessible toilets on the ground floor.

Are children allowed in the restaurant?

Children are welcome to dine but must vacate by 8pm Monday – Thursday and 6pm Friday – Sunday.

Are under 21’s allowed on a weekend?

We operate an over 21’s policy from 6pm on Friday – Sunday.

Can I order bakery items to take away?

Our bakery items are made fresh and ready to purchase from 10am Monday – Friday and 9am Saturday + Sunday until they run out. If you would like to pre-order any bread, cronuts or kruffins to take away please give us a call. All pre-orders will require payment upfront to confirm the order.

Do you check for ID on arrival?

We check for ID on arrival if you look under 25 years of age. We have a strict no-ID, no-entry policy so please make sure you bring ID with you.

Are you dog friendly?

What time does your entertainment start and who is it?

Please refer to the Showtime section of our website as this varies day to day.

We never charge for our entertainment however to support our musicians, actors and performers, a supplementary charge of 50p/£1 (Brm + Lpl/Manc) is added to all drinks during Showtime hours. This excludes soft drinks. £1/£2 (Brm + Lpl/Manc) is added to all bottles of wine, champagne and prosecco.

Can I book a table just for drinks?

We have a small number of drinks booths available for reservations for parties of 5+ – you can make an enquiry here. All reservations made for the Cook Haus are required to dine, if you wish to join us for drinks only we cannot guarantee the table reservation.

Is there a guestlist?

We do not operate a guestlist unfortunately unless you have a reservation with us.

Do you sell giftcards and how can I purchase one?

Yes, you can buy a digital giftcard online via our web shop. Alternatively you can pop in and see us for a physical giftcard.

Do you have a happy hour?

Yes, our Apres Ski hour is from 4pm-7pm Monday-Friday where we have selected £6 cocktails & £25 bottles of prosecco + £5 pints of Pilsner.
