7 days of Showtime // June Highlights

Every night of the week, we celebrate the weird, the wild and the wonderment of live performance, music and cabaret. Here’s just a few June showstoppers that you won’t want to miss…

Gypsies of Bohemia

North by North Wurst: Thursday 20th June

As the UKs leading original covers band, Gypsies of Bohemia pride themselves on having written over half of their complete original covers catalogue. Something of a paradox? Well, that sums these guys up. Expect foot stomping rhythms, exhilarating arrangements, virtuosic lead guitar lines and pop favourites like you’ve never heard them before.

Line-Up

Wombombles – 8pm & 9pm

Gypsies of Bohemia – 10pm/11.15pm/12.30am

DJ Hattie – 6pm-10pm

DJ Rich Reason – 10pm-2am

Aficionado

Back to Mein: Monday 24th June

Aficionado came together as a reaction to the superclub and powerhouse scene of the 1990’s. Mooniest and Jason Boardman kicked off a series of free parties, inspired by the spirit of Ibiza’s open minded dance and chill out culture, with a distinct manchester flavour in 1998. Take a listen here to the duos favourite jams of the past 20 years, covering the sounds and styles that make Aficionado a Mancinion institution.

Kunst Kabaret

Thursday 18th June

After a roaring two seasons, the fabulous debauched Kunst Kabaret will be leaving the Schloss stage for its summer holiday. The final curtain this season will be June 18th – but don’t worry, Kunst Kabaret will be back as part of our winter season.

All the team here at Albert’s Schloss would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Kunst Kabaret curator and director, Leila Raoufi, who has been part our family since 2015. Leila goes on to take Kunst to the festivals this season – you can catch Kunst at Kendal Calling. Viel Glück Leila!
