DECEMBERFEST IS HERE…

We are so hyped for the party season that we’ve given it a name..DECEMBERFEST!

Here’s some of our Christmassy highlights…

1. DAS BIERS

SUPER NEW CHRISTMAS BREWS…

– ERDINGER SCHNEEWEIß. Deep winter wheatbeer. If your German is a bit Year 9 (like ours!) then allow us to learn you good, ‘SCHNEEWEIß’  means ‘SNOW WHITE’.  The summer malts used in this beer are allowed to mature right until October. This extra time creates the distinct amber colour and spicy notes, just in time for Christmas.

– BUDVAR B: CHERRY.  Sharp, dark and decadent. Black and velvet red in colour. This distinctive and opulent lager is brewed from the base of Budvar Dark and blended with wild cherry juice. A truly seasonal lager. Stick it on your list.

2. NEW YEAR BIGNESS

UBER PARTYING COMES AS STANDARD…BUT NEW YEAR HAS GONE SUPER BIG..

NEW YEAR’S EVE

Tickets for The Zero Hour’ party are very limited (just 500 up for grabs) and are currently selling like hot German sausages.  More speed and haste is required to party Schloss style this NYE. Tickets available in the bar now.

NEW YEAR’S DAY

We are totally going for it! Our first ever ‘upstairs & downstairs’ shindig with our noisy neighbours, The Albert Hall and some nice guys called THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT?! (KABOOM!)

Check out the line up!! Proper ‘sophisti-raving’…. Again. Tickets. Flying. Out. Best get a wriggle on and get them now.

3. ALPINE DINING

Albert’s Cook Haus is Manchester’s very own Alpine retreat, inspired by every nook and cranny of Central Europe’s Alpine regions – rustic, natural, and rugged. Traditional techniques, modern zest and mountain freshness in abundance. Anyhoo, it’s pretty freakin’ Christmassy… Find out more  or better still book a table and come dine Alpine

 

4. MINCE PIE SCHNAPPS

The Schloss schnapps making chaps have delivered two new flavours for Decemberfest; CHOCOLATE ORANGE AND… MINCE PIE. Yes, we said MINCE PIE!!

5. GLUWHEIN

Our head chef personally makes our HAUS GLUWHEIN. We let our Christmas blend of herbs and spices simmer and fuse for a full 24 hours before adding our wine and port. Dan Mullen’s mulled wine is simply FANTASTICH!

6. HOT SHOKALADE

Even chocolate sounds better in German. Our Haus Hot Chocolate or ‘Shokolade’ is served with lashings of whipped cream and marshmallows. Stick some fuel on your fire by adding any of the following spirits for extra warmth…

– SALTED CARAMEL SCHNAPPS

– KIRSCH LIQUEUR (WILD CHERRY)

– AMARETTO

7. DAS CHRISTMASSIEST COCKTAILS!

Our Alpine cocktails are already plenty festive…but here’s some new ones anyway!

NEW YORK FAIRYTALE | Schlossy Glüwhein spin on a New York sour. Woodford Reserve strained over ice with our Haus Glüwhein – gives this bourbon plenty of baubles!

WINTERWELL BRAMBLE | Winter is coming! Absolut Vanilia, homemade winter schnapps, fresh lemon and Crème de Mure brambled over crushed ice and topped with a frosted blackberry.

ALBERT’S BOBSLEIGH | Let is sch-now  An Alpine twist on a classic ‘Sidecar’. Martell Cognac, apricot brandy, Cointreau and fresh lemon juice. Served in a sugar frosted Martini glass.
